Sugar paste is made from sugar, lemon and water. According to the studio, the paste sticks only to hair and dead skin cells rather than live skin, and hair is removed in the direction of growth. The studio says this lowers the chance of breakage and ingrown hairs compared with waxing, that sugar paste washes off the skin more easily because it dissolves in water, and that many clients experience less irritation and redness than with waxing. The studio also says that with regular treatments, hair may grow back finer and softer over time.

Most clients return every four to six weeks, a schedule tied to how quickly their hair grows. For the best outcome, hair should reach roughly a quarter inch, which takes about two to three weeks. Before a treatment, clients are asked to steer clear of retinol, exfoliating products and prolonged sun on the area for 24 to 48 hours. Afterward, that same window calls for skipping high heat, hot tubs, saunas, tanning, intense workouts and scrubbing the treated skin. Ongoing exfoliation and moisturizing are also recommended to reduce ingrown hairs. The studio suggests products and routines according to each client's skin needs.

Clients who are unsure which service to book can send a message to ask for help choosing one. Appointments canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours' notice are charged 50% of the scheduled services, and no-shows are charged 100%. Children under 12 are only permitted in the studio when they are the client receiving a scheduled service.
