Barbara&Barbara is a queer-owned and operated salon with an LGBTQ+-centered approach. It is in Logan Square on the southeast corner of Diversey and Richmond, between Sacramento and California.

The salon is appointment only. Clients who are unsure which services they need can book a free 15-minute consultation with a stylist. Color and chemical services can be consulted on by email, in person or by Zoom.

Haircut prices are set by each stylist and listed on the team page. Haircuts are priced and booked by length and texture rather than gender. When booking, clients should give the front desk an approximate hair length. Curly cuts allow extra time and are done by stylists trained in several curly cutting methods, and clients should arrive with hair dry, detangled and in its natural state, with product allowed. Matted hair needs advance notice, and dematting is charged hourly after a consultation.

Protective styling, including braids, twists, loc retwists, detoxes and installs, is offered with a consultation first. Protective styles are described as serving the Black community. Gift cards can be bought on the website.
