BALD Denver was founded by Dr. Falan Mouton, a licensed physician anesthesiologist, and was created to provide pain relief during hair removal. Nitrous oxide, also called laughing gas, is central to the visit and can be added to any service for $7.

A visit usually starts with a medical check and anesthesia, which the business puts at about 15 minutes, followed by 15 to 30 minutes per area waxed. Clients are asked to avoid eating for about two hours beforehand and to skip alcohol and marijuana. Tylenol and ibuprofen are provided before waxing for extra comfort, and clients can drive home once they feel fully back to normal. The business says its waxing uses a tear-free approach that begins with a brief consultation with a licensed anesthesiologist.

Beyond hair removal, the spa offers injectables such as Botox Cosmetic, Juvaderm Ultra XC, Juvaderm Voluma and Kybella, along with Pico Laser Facials, Diamond Glow, dermaplaning, microneedling and PRP facials. Tattoo removal uses a PicoSure laser by Cynosure. Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide are offered through a weight loss program that requires a membership, and IV hydration bags are available with a range of add-ins.

The Highlands location sits on the first floor of the Wheeler Block Building, next to Lashology, with street parking on 29th Avenue and two general spaces behind the building. Booking is available by phone, text or online, and appointments outside online availability can be requested by text.

Treatments are overseen by a physician, with a focus on managing discomfort. Nitrous oxide is available as a mild, short-lived sedative. Injections and medical facials are given by a doctor, a nurse practitioner or a registered nurse.
