Two licensing programs make up the core of the school. ProStart is a hybrid program of hands-on training and online coursework, running 7.5 weeks with a minimum of 300 clock hours, meeting three days a week. Graduates receive a school completion certificate and are eligible to sit for the North Carolina State Natural Hair Care licensing exam. The school describes ProStart as the fastest, most affordable path to a North Carolina natural hair care license. Advanced Natural Hair Care runs 10 weeks with a minimum of 300 hours of instruction, theory taught online and skills practiced in the school's salon, with classes two days a week. Students who finish receive a North Carolina state license. The Advanced program is aimed at entrepreneurs and salon owners, while ProStart suits beginners and people starting a career.

Tuition for ProStart is $2,498 at a limited-time rate, with an approximate total of $2,698 once application and registration fees are included. Students buy their own supplies from a list the school provides. The Advanced program lists tuition of $5,965 plus a $1,833 supplies kit, excluding uniforms, and $200 in fees; the approximate total for off-campus students is $7,998. Optional on-campus living for the Advanced program adds a room and board charge for a six-month rental. On-campus housing is not offered with ProStart. High school students receive 10% off ProStart tuition, and early applicants may qualify for a payment plan of two to three payments.

Continuing education is also available for licensed stylists. An 8-hour Natural Hair Care Stylist course is designed for licensed stylists who need to renew, and a certificate of completion is issued. An additional-hours course offers a minimum of 20 hours of instruction for those who have not passed the state board exam after three or more attempts, or whose license has lapsed; it must be finished within one week. Student services include NC State exam preparation, public clinic services and a LEAD Beauty Summer Camp. Clinic hours run Monday through Thursday, 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and visits are by appointment only.

B-ty CARES takes licensed beauty professionals to residential communities for Community Beauty Days, which facilities can book directly. Eligible facilities include retirement, assisted living, nursing and rest homes, rehabilitation facilities, adult day programs and supportive living communities. Visits are currently offered in Wake County. Packages are grouped by resident count, from Tender Touch for one to five residents up to Signature Facility Day for 21 or more, which is priced by custom quote. Base prices exclude travel, add-ons and tax, and full payment through Stripe is needed to confirm a visit. Facilities need an accessible work area, lighting and outlets, a staff liaison, resident authorizations and a final resident roster.

The school prepares students to run their own work, not only to work for others, with coursework covering infection control, design, advanced technique and the business side of salons.
