AzScalpDoctor is based at 1061 N Dobson Rd, Suite 107, in Mesa, and is open Monday through Saturday from about 9am to 5pm. Owner Francisco Ahumada, a Master SMP Artist, leads the studio, which serves clients as well as people training to do SMP themselves.

The studio's core work is scalp micropigmentation. Hairline restoration is done with SMP machines, pigment and medical-grade needles. The add density service uses SMP impressions to create the look of fuller hair, including around the forehead and part. Scar camouflage uses SMP to cover scalp scars left by FUT or FUE hair transplants, trauma or surgery.

A visit typically begins with a free consultation of about an hour. SMP sessions are priced after the consultation.

After the final session the studio recommends a follow-up about 30 days later. Pigment is refreshed with a touch-up every three to six years, and annual pigment evaluations and refresh sessions are available if needed. The studio keeps digital pigment tracking records for each treatment so future touch-ups can be matched.

The studio also offers a three-day SMP training class in Mesa. Students practice hands-on on a model, and after training they may bring their first client to the studio to perform that first procedure.

Work is built around SMP techniques, with pigment matched over time through recorded treatment details and scheduled follow-ups.
