The Palm Springs hotel was first known as the Estrella Inn and was created as a sister resort to the Beverly Hills property. It now has 72 lodgings, including 13 private villas, set around Spanish-style courtyards and gardens, with three pools that each have cabanas and loungers. Estrella Spa is open by appointment Thursday through Monday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and is closed Tuesday and Wednesday, subject to seasonal change. Guests are asked to arrive 20 minutes early, and a late arrival shortens the treatment time. The spa is cellphone-free and smoke-free, accepts major credit cards but not personal checks, and gratuity is left to the guest, with a customary 18 to 25 percent. Both hotels have restaurants. Viviane at Avalon Beverly Hills serves modern California cuisine with European and American influences, with breakfast on weekdays, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch, indoors or on the heated poolside patio. Marlowe's beside the Palm Springs pool serves California cooking and cocktails daily, and the bar offers frozen daiquiris and a zero-proof menu. Events are a focus at both properties: Palm Springs hosts gatherings from 10 to 200 guests, from corporate retreats to micro weddings, with on-site catering from Marlowe's and a dedicated event manager for logistics, though full-service wedding planning is not offered. Inquiries are made through online request forms.

The group says it works to keep waste, water and electricity use to a minimum, has removed single-use plastic water bottles from guest rooms, and works with local environmental and community groups.

The spa describes its menu as natural, and its treatments can be tailored to the guest. The group states a goal of reducing its environmental footprint across both hotels.

Both properties blend mid-century revival with contemporary design, and the Palm Springs hotel adds Spanish-style courtyards and gardens.
