Ava Salon

Ava Salon is located on N Viking Way in Long Beach, CA 90808. The salon says it aims to give every client a warm, welcoming visit centered on that client's own style.

The salon describes its approach as educational. Staff take time to explain the science of hair, how color works, cutting, styling and at-home care, and the team says it keeps up with current education to sharpen its technique.

The menu runs from a quick bang trim and a 10-minute consultation, which is listed at no charge, through cuts, blowouts and updos, to a full range of color: gloss and tone for dull or brassy color, root melt and root touch-ups, money pieces, peek-a-boo lights, partial and full highlights, babylights, bleach and tone, and fashion color. Perms and Brazilian blowouts are also offered.

Color correction is available for color that has gone wrong at home or that needs fixing after a previous stylist. It includes product education, and new clients booking it are asked for a $50 deposit. Babylights carry the same deposit requirement for new clients.

Ava Salon is open Monday 11 AM to 3 PM, Tuesday and Wednesday 10 AM to 6 PM, Thursday 11 AM to 6 PM, Friday 9:30 AM to 7 PM and Saturday 9 AM to 3 PM, and is closed on Sundays. Clients who cannot make an appointment are asked to let the salon know as soon as possible so it can be rescheduled. A 20% cancellation fee applies otherwise.
