Aura Hair Studio was founded by Ally Stephenson, who owns the salon. The studio describes itself as more than a haircut, a place where clients can be themselves and feel at ease as they are.

Cuts are done with clippers or scissors, depending on the service. Many appointments include a hot towel with essential oil and a hot lather neck shave, and the beard service ends with an infused hot towel and an oil or balm finish.

Each service lists its length of time, from a 15-minute edge clean-up to a 75-minute long cut or combined service.

Appointments are booked through the salon's online booking page. The studio is open Monday through Saturday, with later hours on Tuesday and Wednesday, and is closed on Sundays. Cancellations or changes need at least 24 hours' notice. Later changes may be charged up to the full service price at the stylist's discretion, and no-shows are charged the full price.

The studio aims to be a space where clients feel comfortable and free to be themselves, and it presents itself as offering more than a haircut.
