Each head spa visit begins with a scalp check, in which a handheld camera projects a magnified view of a small section of scalp onto a monitor. Next come a double shampoo, a massage, and a warm-water rinse with the client reclined in the basin, followed by a mask and a blow-dry. TCM Head Aromatherapy is the one service that breaks this pattern. It runs 30 minutes and involves working scalp oil in through massage while the hair stays dry, with no washing and no styling afterward. Washing beforehand isn't necessary, but guests are asked to arrive with dry, unwashed hair and to tell staff when they last had color, a perm, or a keratin treatment.

The facial menu centers on gua sha, including a 30-minute lifting version along the jaw and cheekbones and a 75-minute customized facial with a deep cleanse, red light, serum and facial massage. Products for the customized facial are chosen for the client's skin that day. Massage is offered in Swedish and deep tissue styles, from a 30-minute neck and shoulder session to a 90-minute deep tissue massage. The massage menu has four bookings and does not include sports, prenatal or hot stone massage. Clients are asked to mention any new pain, numbness, recent injury or surgery, fever or pregnancy to a physician before a massage.

Balances apply to any service on the menu, packages included. Bookings can be made online at any time. The phone and text line at (206) 552-4799 is staffed from 9 AM to 8 PM and also handles changes and questions every day of the week.
