Atomic Nails is a private studio in downtown Dover, New Hampshire, located in Suite 5 at 251 Central Ave. The studio is small and quiet, with the focus on one-on-one attention rather than a busy salon floor.

The studio says it focuses on natural nail services and nail health, and it tailors each service to the individual client. It also says it uses what it considers the highest quality nail products on the market.

Gel work is the core of the menu. Gel extensions are full coverage, applied over a base gel, and last up to three weeks; they are rebalanced at follow-up visits, with four rebalance time options. Gel overlays take 75 minutes or more and come with three rebalance options. The soft gel manicure is made for short nails and includes cuticle work, shaping and one color, lasting two to three weeks. Gel overlays, extensions and soft gel manicures are reserved for current clients.

New clients start with a New Client Manicure, priced from $80 and taking 75 minutes. It begins with a consultation to choose the base, then covers nail trimming, shaping, cuticle work and gel color. Clients need to arrive with no product on their nails. Nail art, priced from $15 for sessions of 15 to 60 minutes, is booked separately and includes French, chrome, cat-eye, tortoise shell, marbled and hand-painted designs. Intricate hand-painted work requires sending inspiration photos before booking.

Removal of soft gel, structured gel and extensions applied by the owner is priced from $30 and takes 30 minutes or more, and includes cleanup, cuticle oil and no polish. Repairs within five days of the original service are complimentary; after five days they start at $10, depending on how many nails need work. Extension repair covers one or two nails, and larger repairs require contacting the studio.

Nail services are intended for ages 16 and up. Hours are Monday 2 PM to 7 PM, Tuesday and Friday 10 AM to 5 PM, and Thursday 1 PM to 7 PM; the studio is closed Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Deposits are refundable only with 48 or more hours' notice, cancellations within 48 hours incur a 50% fee, and same-day or 24-hour cancellations and no-shows incur the full service fee. Unpaid or declined payments must be settled before rebooking. Gift cards come in $50, $75, $100, $200 or a custom amount and are final sale.
