Nail salon in Philadelphia, PA
Atelier Anaiis was started as a reaction to manicures that were done quickly with electric nail drills and left nails damaged. Atelier Anaiis was started as a reaction to manicures that were done quickly with electric nail drills and left nails damaged. The studio's founding idea was that nail care should protect and restore the natural nail rather than only make it look finished for a short time. It describes itself as a health-first nail care studio.
The studio works with clients who want ongoing nail care rather than a single visit. Services are recommended after the nails and the skin around them have been assessed, instead of being picked from a standard menu. Nail art can be added in some cases, but only once nail health has been addressed. The studio notes that it may not be the right fit for people who want upkeep of existing enhancements, quick fixes or design-focused appointments.
A visit starts with the intake form for new clients, which is completed on the Appointments page. Returning clients book through a button on the same page. Most appointments run at least 90 minutes, depending on the condition of the nails and surrounding skin. The studio is open daily from 10am to 6pm and does not take walk-ins. Lateness is covered by a 15-minute grace period, after which the appointment counts as a no-show. Cancellations and no-shows made less than 48 hours ahead are charged the full service price to the card on file.
Services are for the hands only. Pedicures are not offered. All work is done with hand techniques, so electric nail drills and e-files are not used. Gel products are soaked off with non-invasive products, and nails are shaped by hand. Regular nail polish, acrylic powder and dip powder are not carried.
Care centers on protecting and restoring the natural nail and surrounding skin, using hand-only techniques instead of quick cosmetic fixes.
The studio is calm and filled with greenery.
