Astral Wave Salon

Astral Wave Salon is a hair salon in Denton, Texas, owned and run by Skyler Smith. The salon is open Tuesday through Friday afternoons and evenings and on Saturday mornings and early afternoons, and is closed Sunday and Monday.

Cuts are the core of the menu. A shag cut takes about an hour. A haircut and wash also takes an hour and includes a deep conditioning treatment. A full curly cut runs two hours and includes a wash and deep conditioning. Color work includes a free 15-minute color consultation, and vivid and creative color sessions, which take around five and a half hours, are billed at $120 per hour and include a K18 treatment and all product costs.

Booking is by appointment, and the salon asks for 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations or reschedulings are charged half the scheduled services to the card on file, and a no-call, no-show is charged the full amount. Without a card on file, a 50% retainer is needed before another appointment can be booked. New clients pay a retainer when the appointment is confirmed, and it is cancelled if unpaid within 48 hours. Retainers count toward the final cost. Clients get a 5-minute grace period for appointments of 30 minutes or less, and 15 minutes for appointments of 45 minutes or more. Clients running late should call the salon, since arriving after the grace period can lead to rescheduling and a late fee. Complimentary adjustments are offered within 7 days of a service, but completed services at the salon are not refunded.
