A visit starts with a detailed consultation covering hair history, goals, hair type, face shape, lifestyle and personality. Sessions also include a scalp massage and styling instruction shaped to the client.

Cuts are done with hair sculpting, an alternative to traditional wet cutting that the salon designs for textured hair. Color goes beyond traditional shades and includes highlighting, lowlighting and color blocking, done with foil or by hand. A creative color service aims to keep hair healthy. Gray services include gray glossing and peek-a-boo gray; because these are creative processes, the salon does not guarantee results.

The salon describes itself as climate positive and as close to zero waste to landfill as is currently possible. Hair clippings are collected in compostable bags and donated through HumSum to Matters of Trust, and the salon uses Ecohead shower heads from Sustain Beauty. It says Rahua and Innersense are certified B companies.

Clients need to give 48 hours' notice to avoid being charged for a canceled service. Stylists can rent a semi-private suite three to five days a week for $115 a day, with bundle pricing available.
