Its stated goal is to enhance each client's natural look through careful lash application, quality lashes, shaped brows and clear skin.

The lash menu covers classic, hybrid and volume extensions, each with fills and full sets. Classic extensions use faux mink lashes in a range of curls and thicknesses, for a natural, dramatic or cat-eye look. Hybrid sets mix classic and volume lashes, and volume extensions are lighter and can be customized to a light, medium or full look. Lashes are applied individually to each natural lash, and volume fans are hand-made and sized to each lash. Fills are recommended every two to four weeks and are only done on sets with at least half of the extensions remaining. Clients coming from another salon can book a re-lash, provided the previous work is clean and the extensions are not too long or heavy. Patch tests for adhesive sensitivity are available, and clients who have had reactions should book one at least 72 hours before a service.

Brow work is done with a consultation first, and brows are measured for symmetry before the shape is approved. Shaping is done by tweezing. Tinting, henna and lamination are available alone or combined with shaping, and tints can be matched to skin tone, eye color and hair. Each facial is customized by a licensed professional, starting with a consultation and skin analysis, and the studio does not offer pre-set facial types. The Customized Facial can be paired with add-ons such as microcurrent, Fire & Ice, chemical peel and dermaplaning, which are booked after the first facial.

Cosmetic tattooing is offered for eyebrows, eyeliner and lips, by machine only, with the studio noting it does not perform microblading. Tattoo removal sessions are available, starting no earlier than eight weeks after a tattoo, with photos of the area sent ahead of booking. Free virtual product consultations are offered by text, and an online store sells skincare, lash care and brow care products.

Art of Lash is at 1522 U Street NW, upper level. Street parking is available nearby and can be paid by credit card or the Parkmobile app. The U Street Metro station is close by, and the studio can also be reached from the Dupont Circle Metro. Bookings are made by phone or text at 202-850-0350, and booking an appointment means agreeing to receive text messages. Clients are asked to arrive 15 minutes early for paperwork, and appointments are cancelled if a client is 15 or more minutes late. The studio plans to open an academy.

The studio aims to enhance the natural look a client already has, through careful application, quality lashes, shaped brows and clear skin.
