Arborshade Dermatology was founded in 2024 by Dr. Kelsie Riemenschneider, a board-certified dermatologist, and opened its Richardson office in 2025. The practice is physician-owned and serves patients from Richardson, Plano, Garland, Dallas, Allen, Murphy, Wylie, Sachse and across North Texas. Care is given in the Richardson office only, and teledermatology is not offered.
The practice treats skin, hair and nail conditions from infancy through adulthood, grouping its work into medical, pediatric, surgical, cosmetic and skin cancer care. Its stated aim is long-term relationships with patients so that care stays continuous, and the founding dermatologist sees every patient at every visit. Acne plans are adjusted at follow-up visits, and wart treatment usually takes several visits spaced two to four weeks apart.
Booking can be done online or by phone, and phone appointments can be arranged in Spanish. The office confirms each appointment with a second email, so a booking is not final until that message arrives. New patients can complete intake paperwork in the Sadio patient portal and should arrive 10 minutes early; those who complete it at the office should arrive 20 minutes early. Patients should bring an insurance card, ID and a payment method. For exams, makeup, tinted sunscreen, nail polish and hair accessories should be left off, since skin cancer screenings involve a full gown exam.
The practice is in network with most major health plans, including Aetna, Baylor Scott and White, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, Cigna, Humana, UnitedHealthcare, Tricare/Triwest and several PPO, HMO and Medicare Advantage plans. It is not contracted with Ambetter, Molina, Oscar, Wellcare or Multiplan, and does not accept Medicaid as primary or secondary coverage. HMO patients need a referral from their primary care physician or an insurance authorization before the visit, while PPO, self-pay and cosmetic patients do not. A credit card is kept on file for refunds, delinquent payments and administrative fees, and full payment based on a cost estimate is due at the visit. Cancellations or changes need at least 24 hours' notice.
Every patient sees the board-certified dermatologist at every visit, with the goal of building long-term relationships for continuity of care.
