ARA SPA Massage & Facial was created as a calm retreat inspired by the founder's grandmother. The name ARA comes from the Tupí-Guaraní language and is said to mean day, time and the light of the world.

The spa's stated aim is to offer more than a single treatment, with deliberate, intentional touch in a quiet setting. Services are grouped into massage and facials. The massage menu includes ARA Brazilian Lymphatic Sculpting Massage, ARA Deep Tissue Massage, which the site describes as addressing musculoskeletal concerns such as strains and sports injuries, and ARA Relaxation Massage, which the site describes as intended to release toxins from the body. Facials are offered as advanced treatments.

Memberships are a central part of how the spa works. The ARA Founding Membership costs $99 per month and includes one massage or facial each month, which the site values at $120. Members receive $20 off every additional service with no limit, and can book priority appointments with exclusive pricing. The separate Wellness Membership costs $99 per month. Memberships are billed monthly to the card on file and continue month to month after an initial four-month commitment. Cancellations go through the membership platform and only take effect after that commitment. Unused credits roll over while the membership is active and expire 60 days after the final billing date following cancellation.

Booking requires a valid credit card. Guests are asked to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early. Late arrivals may receive a shorter treatment at the full price, and those more than 15 minutes late may need to reschedule depending on provider availability. Changes and cancellations need at least 24 hours' notice. Late cancellations may be charged 50% of the service amount, and same-day cancellations or no-shows may be charged the full reserved amount. Services, memberships, packages, promotions and gift cards are final sale and non-refundable. Guests who are unhappy with a visit are asked to contact the team within 48 hours. Guests must disclose medical conditions, allergies, injuries, recent surgeries and other health concerns before treatment, and the spa may decline or stop a service when needed for guest or staff safety.

The site lists a massage license and a Board of Cosmetology number. A small shop on the site sells home decor such as vases, planters, plates and tables, along with health-related products.
