Anu Natural Nails Studio

Anu Natural Nails Studio is a one-person, appointment-only studio at Montgomery Lane in Bethesda, located inside MODA salon studios. Every service is done one-on-one, and the studio is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 11 AM to 7 PM, and Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM, closed Wednesday and Sunday. The studio recommends the Waverly Parking Garage nearby, with payment by the Parkmobile app or an onsite machine.

The studio's approach centres on nail health, precision and results meant to last. Manicures and pedicures are waterless, so hands and feet are not soaked. Pedicures do not include deep digging, aggressive cuticle removal, toenail digging, deep ingrown toenail cutting or medical treatment of foot or nail conditions. The studio does not remove acrylic, dip powder, hard gel, Gel-X or polygel, and does not offer nail extensions.

The core polish is Dazzle Dry, a non-toxic, vegan, cruelty-free system that air dries in five to seven minutes, with a choice of 165 shades for manicures and pedicures and 146 for the Luxe Dazzle Dry pedicure. Gel options include gel manicures and pedicures, and soak-off soft builder gel (BIAB) applied over natural nails, offered in traditional and HEMA-free forms. The refill service is for natural nails only.

Luxe pedicures add a longer foot massage with scent-free oil, an organic sugar scrub, paraffin wax and a heated foot warmer. Gel removal can be added to a pedicure when gel is on the toes, which adds time. The studio uses organic skin care, single-use nail supplies and tools sterilized in an autoclave.

Bookings are made only through the website, and the studio asks for 24 hours notice to cancel and 48 hours notice to reschedule. Only scheduled clients are welcome, without guests, children or pets, and outside products and tools are not used. Complimentary fixes are offered within five days for lifting, chipping or product-related issues, with a repair fee after that. Payment is accepted by card, cash, Zelle and Apple Cash, with a 3.5% fee on card payments.
