Routine cleanings include an exam, x-rays, intraoral photos and periodontal charting. Patients can choose a cleaning flavor, and optional add-ons include sealants, fluoride, and Arestin, a local antibiotic used for infected gums.
Fillings are made only from composite, so the office does not place silver fillings. Crowns can be made the same day with the in-office scanning and milling unit, and Cerec restorations are shaped by the doctor to fit each patient's contact points. Porcelain onlays and inlays for large cavities are also made in the office on the same day. Implant crowns are placed by the general dentist once the oral surgeon has finished the implant process. Veneers cover the visible part of a tooth and can address chips, wear, color, length and spacing. Whitening can be done at home, in the office or as a combined plan, using Ultradent and Kor products.
Insurance coverage is an estimate only and cannot be guaranteed. The patient's projected portion is collected at the time of treatment. The office submits claims to insurers itself and gives the insurer 45 days to pay; if a balance is still open at 60 days, the patient is responsible for the entire amount. Accepted payment methods are cash, check, major credit cards and CareCredit, and payment is expected at the appointment unless other arrangements were made beforehand. Patients who lack dental insurance can call the office to ask about its in-house plan.
