Amethyst Studio

Amethyst Studio is a Stillwater hair studio run by two co-owners who have worked in the beauty industry for ten or more years, six of them together. The studio says it keeps up with the latest hair trends.

Extensions are a core part of the work. Tape-in, beaded sew-in and braided sew-in methods are offered, and the hair itself is priced separately from installation, varying by method and length. Mainly the studio works with the Bellami brand and sources hair from other companies. New clients book a consultation through a new client form, and new clients for beaded row and tape-in services are asked to leave a $100 deposit. The first tape-in installation includes the consultation fee, which is not refundable.

For color, the studio offers classic foil with toner in partial and full versions, custom color in mini, partial and full sizes, retouches with or without gloss, and mini root touch-ups for the hairline and part. Davines products are used in the studio, which the studio says is a certified B Corp. The studio also sells products through Beauty Connection, a salon-only sales platform, including brands it does not carry.

The studio is open Tuesday through Saturday by appointment only.
