American Leadership Academy Mesa North

American Leadership Academy runs tuition-free public charter schools in Arizona, North Carolina and South Carolina. Each state has its own board of directors that governs its schools, and the network's schools must meet state academic requirements and accountability expectations. The district office is in Mesa, Arizona, and the North Carolina southeast office is in Wake Forest.

According to the network, its aim is to help families by providing schooling to a wide range of students, in a setting grounded in good character. It pairs scholastic rigor with the building of character, and says its graduates are equipped to excel as students today and to lead tomorrow. Five core values, abbreviated R.A.I.S.E. and standing for Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Service and Excellence, shape daily learning and underpin the curriculum, which also covers financial literacy.
