Âme Skin Studio was founded by Rosie Petrillo, a licensed esthetician. The name is French for soul, and the studio notes that ame means love in Portuguese and Spanish. It has a Norwalk studio at 10 River Street and a New York studio on the fourth floor of House of Ness at 162 East 78th Street.

The studio says it pairs current technical advances with a calm, soothing treatment experience. Facials are grouped as rejuvenating facials, from the Teen Facial to the Age-Defying Facial, and every facial finishes with a 10-minute LED light therapy mask. Specialized treatments include microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, microneedling, microcurrent, cryo facials, Nano Infusion, the Hydro Glow and the Double Crown Facial, which combines microdermabrasion and microcurrent.

Visits are by appointment only, and booking requires a credit card. Clients are asked to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early and to complete a medical history form, with consent signed for certain treatments. The studio may recommend a different treatment after reviewing that form. The Norwalk studio is open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday plus every other Saturday, and the New York studio is open Tuesday plus every other Saturday; both are closed on Mondays and Sundays.

Cancellations and rescheduling need at least 24 hours' notice. A cancellation inside 24 hours is charged half the service cost, and a missed appointment is charged in full. Virtual skin care consultations are also available by video call, and the studio sells eGift cards. Prices and services may change, so clients are encouraged to confirm pricing when booking.
