AMARI Head Spa

AMARI Head Spa was co-founded by Nikita Agarwal and Amy Allen and focuses on scalp care as its main service. The salon describes its approach as holistic and eco-friendly scalp wellness and says it uses clean ingredients.

The menu is built around a set of head spa sessions at increasing lengths and prices. A 15-minute consultation includes a microscope scalp exam and a more detailed discussion of scalp health. Shorter options such as Mental Rejuvenation and Refresh Yourself focus on scalp oiling, massage, and a shampoo with a double cleanse, and Mental Rejuvenation is not a wash service and leaves oil on the scalp. Longer sessions add steam, exfoliation, LED and microcurrent therapy, conditioning masks, and a customized Scalp Apothecary treatment.

The most extensive sessions are Mind Melt, a 120-minute treatment that includes botanical shirodhara and an ozonated mini-facial, and True To Yourself, a 105-minute session for textured hair that includes gentle detangling and a curly hair conditioning mask. Treated hair, including color, chemical treatments, and keratin, is suitable for all services.

Clients can book Like Yourself as an express session. It is not recommended for clients with scalp concerns, and an in-depth scope consultation can be added to it. Some of the longer sessions are not suitable for extensions, braids, or locs, so the menu notes which services fit different styles and how often each is suggested.

Each treatment room is private, and clients can choose to share a suite with another guest. Clients are asked to remove upper-body clothing and are given robes and towel wraps. The salon says it welcomes clients of every background.

The salon also offers training. It runs a two-day in-person holistic head spa certification course in Dallas, and a three-hour in-salon scalp education session for hairstylists.
