Aluna opened as a holistic healing center in 2012. The name comes from a Kogi word for pure potential and creation. Dr. Tricia Graziano is the founder and owner, and Matthew Lyndon became a co-owner in 2017. The center's core idea is that people can heal and transform through their thoughts, their perceptions and their ability to let go of stress.
The building has five treatment rooms, a relaxation and meditation room, a yoga studio with a Himalayan salt wall, and a zen garden. The massage menu covers Swedish, deep tissue, couples, hot stone, orthopedic, trigger point and the house Aluna massages, and sessions are customized to a client's goals and areas of tension. Body scrubs made with herbs and essential oils can be added to massage. Sample prices: Aluna's Flow Massage is $60 for 30 minutes, $110 for 60 and $165 for 90; Aluna's Signature Massage is $150 for 75 minutes and $175 for 90; Aluna's Couples Massage, in a private room, is $250 for 60 minutes and $340 for 90.
Acupuncture and pain management are offered by Dr. Tricia Graziano for conditions including arthritis, back pain, neck pain, digestive disorders, anxiety, infertility and weight loss. Pain relief programs combine acupuncture with massage and other healing therapies, and cupping and cold laser are used to enhance pain relief treatments. Some insurance plans are accepted, and patients are asked to call to confirm coverage. Complimentary phone consultations about acupuncture are offered, and free 15-minute consultations are offered for Mei Zen cosmetic acupuncture on the face and neck.
Facial and skincare services use organic products only. Aluna's Signature Facial is customized to skin needs and runs 60 minutes for $115. The Anti-Aging LED Light Facial is 75 minutes for $175, and the Vitamin C Peel is 60 minutes for $125, with a series of six offered for the strongest results. Injection therapies are performed by a Doctor of Oriental Medicine certified in acupuncture point injections, and include vitamin B12 at $35, an immune mix of vitamin C, zinc and glutathione at $50, and lipotropic weight loss at $60.
Packages and memberships suit clients who want several services in one visit or on a schedule. The Goodbye Pain Package is $255 and takes about 2 hours 15 minutes, with a pain relief massage, acupuncture and cupping. The Simply Me Time package is $255 and includes a 60-minute flow massage, a signature facial and a sacred foot treatment. Monthly memberships require a 12-month contract. Group and special event bookings, such as bridal parties, holiday parties, friends' days out and corporate events, should be requested two to three weeks ahead.
Healing therapies are combined so that body, mind and spirit are treated together, with the idea that healing can come through thoughts, perceptions and letting go of stress.
A Himalayan salt wall yoga studio, a meditation room and a zen garden sit across from the beach.
