Alternative Aging & Wellness is owned by Phyl McClure, a Family Nurse Practitioner who built the practice after relocating to Virginia. The practice describes itself as a community that mixes expertise, curiosity and a bit of fun, with the aim of helping people feel healthy and confident.

Care is organized around the whole person. Medical care, wellness, aesthetics and movement are offered in one place, and the team meets clients where they are. Consultations are free, and the practice also hosts workshops, conversations, seasonal events and a public Wellness Calendar.

Face and skin services include Daxxify and Botox, personalized to each client's features and goals, along with facial balancing using RHA Collection dermal fillers. Microneedling is offered for texture and collagen renewal, with an optional serum or exosome solution when appropriate. Lower face options include Kybella, EMFACE, Emface Functional and filler, alone or combined. FoLix laser hair restoration is also offered. Medical skin care covers full skin checks, biopsies and lesion evaluation, moles, lesions and skin tags, acne and prescription skin care, and redness, rosacea and scarring.

Hormone care is delivered through bioidentical hormone pellet therapy with ongoing labs and monitoring. The HRT and Intimate Wellness program pairs hormone care with Emsella and Alma Duo treatments during the first year. IV hydration, optional IV add-ons and nutrient injections are also available, and Wellness In Motion fitness classes are included with membership.

The practice is open Tuesday from 11 AM to 5 PM and Wednesday through Friday from 10 AM to 6 PM, and it is closed Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Payment plans through Affirm are available subject to eligibility and may not be offered in every state.

Care is built around the whole person, combining medical care, wellness, aesthetics and movement. Treatment plans are customized to each client's goals.
