ALORA was started by Jayme Lee, who spent eight years in the beauty industry working in makeup artistry and brow design before opening the studio.

The studio focuses only on eyebrows, bringing together brow design, education and product development. Its brow menu covers a wax, tint, stain, a signature brow appointment and lamination, with a consultation also offered. A wax with design and trim runs 15 minutes for $45, a tint or stain is also $45, the signature brow is 30 minutes for $65, and lamination is an hour for $125. The lamination includes a wax and a choice of tint or stain.

Brow stain is described as a bolder option than tint, with customizable color that adds depth, and it lasts about four to six weeks. Tint is color matched to skin tone and hair color and lasts about two to four weeks. Clients getting a stain or lamination should keep the brow area dry for 24 hours after the session.

Lamination is a chemical treatment that smooths the brows and adds volume and fullness, and it lasts about six to eight weeks. The studio asks clients to stop vitamin C, retinol, salicylic acid, tretinoin, physical and chemical exfoliants, and acne treatments 7 to 10 days beforehand. Anyone who has used Accutane must have stopped it at least 12 months before, and clients who trimmed their brows in the two weeks before are not eligible. Lamination is not recommended for anyone who has used oral retinoids within the last year, has very sensitive skin, or has had micro needling, chemical peels or other invasive treatments within a week. Timing between lamination sessions is assessed case by case, with eight weeks as the ideal range.

The studio is open Monday through Thursday from 10 AM to 3 PM and Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM, and is closed Friday and Sunday. It sells brow products for at-home use and has a courses section on its website. The studio describes itself as a luxury studio offering high-end brow services. Buy Now, Pay Later financing is available through the booking platform for bookings from $50 to $4,000, subject to approval.
