The studio sits inside Glow Salon + Spa, off Barrington Road about a mile north of I-90. Every session starts with a custom color consultation and a custom blended solution, and includes aftercare instructions, a complimentary Mini Body Contour shading technique (listed at a $15 value) and a shimmering finishing powder (listed at a $10 value). A first visit includes a skin consultation and runs about 45 minutes, while regular clients usually need about 30. A single in-studio sunless tan takes about 20 minutes, and clients are asked to arrive 10 minutes early. Appointments carry a 5-minute grace period, and late arrivals may lose their slot. Airbrush application takes roughly 7 to 10 minutes, followed by about 5 minutes of drying. Tan length depends on the solution. The Original 8 Hour sunless tan is developed for 8 to 12 hours before showering, and the Rapid Rinse option can be rinsed off in about 1 hour 30 minutes. Express Rinse solutions have a wear time of 2 to 6 hours, and the Overnight solution has a wear time of 8 hours. Clients are told the tan begins to show about 8 hours after application and reaches full color at about 24 hours. Back-to-back sessions are not recommended, since one session is said to give full color. A barrier cream is applied to the hands, feet, nails and cuticles before spraying and wiped off afterward. Tans can be designed to read as a natural sun tan. The business says it guarantees tans that are never overdone, streaky, patchy, sticky or smelly.
