Allure Salon, Color & Design sits on Hylan Boulevard in Staten Island and was established about 20 years ago by owner Michael Polat after he moved to New York. The salon focuses on European hair color, haircuts and styling, and describes its team as seasoned experts.
Polat started working in hair in Turkey at fifteen and opened his first salon in Istanbul at twenty-three, after training in Paris and Istanbul over about seven years. His background also includes a role as an L'Oréal International Stage Designer, working on hair color, design and cutting.
Every visit can begin with a complimentary consultation for any service, and appointments can be booked through the website or by calling 718-934-8585. The salon is open Tuesday through Friday from 10AM to 7PM, Saturday from 9AM to 7PM and Sunday from 10AM to 5PM, and it is closed on Mondays.
The salon also hosts clients for proms, weddings, birthdays and other celebrations. Bridal hair, make up and hair extensions are arranged by consultation only.
The salon keeps up with new styling, color and design in the industry and describes its work as European and always evolving.
The setting is intimate, relaxing and friendly, with a comfortable, modern and simple interior.
