It started with a small setup in a living room, moved into a rented booth in a shop for two years, and now operates from its own suite.

Services are grouped into acrylic enhancements, Gel-X, Builder Gel on natural nails and gel manicures. Acrylic enhancements are for existing clients only, and new acrylic sets require bare nails. The business does not work over other people's work or on damaged nails. Custom press-on orders are also taken.

Gel-X is a soft gel full-coverage tip available from extra short to 3XL. The salon recommends it for solid-color full sets, short sets, and designs that are hand-drawn or include bling, and recommends acrylic for sets with many decal or glitter encapsulations. Sets are adhered with extend gel and, according to the salon, last three to four weeks without lifting, and up to two months. Soak-offs are offered for Gel-X only. The salon claims Gel-X was the first soft gel nail extension created in the world.

Booking requires a $21 non-refundable deposit, with $20 applied to the final cost. A 4.5% NYC tax is added to all services. Clients receive a confirmation email 48 hours before the appointment and must send a clear photo of bare nails by 5pm the day before, or the appointment is cancelled and the deposit forfeited. Changes need at least 24 hours' notice through the confirmation email, with no more than two reschedules. Later changes carry a $40 fee that is not applied to new bookings. There is an 8-minute grace period, after which a $15 late fee applies or a new booking is required. No-call no-shows are charged the full remaining balance, and a $40 fee applies if a client misrepresents nail condition and is turned away. No extra guests are allowed.

The salon runs in-person 1:1 courses for people becoming nail technicians, covering nail anatomy, acrylic application, sanitation, nail disorders, filing, gel polish application and social media marketing. Each course includes a full kit, a manual with worksheets and lunch, and students may take a Gel-X course in place of acrylic. Gift certificates for nail services are also sold.
