Hair removal is mainly done by waxing or sugaring. Sugaring is a paste that is worked into the hair by hand and removed with a quick flick of the wrist; the studio notes that most of its formulas contain only sugar, water and citric acid. For best results, the studio asks clients to let hair grow to about a quarter inch, which usually means two to three weeks after shaving, and to avoid shaving between visits. Regular appointments every four to six weeks are recommended, and clients with hormone-related conditions may consider a visit every two to three weeks.
The studio describes the enzyme treatment as helpful for ingrown hairs and for brightening.
Booking requires a valid card on file, and payment is due at the time of service. Cancellations or changes need at least four hours' notice, and late cancellations may incur a $25 fee. Arrivals more than ten minutes late may need to be rescheduled and may also incur a $25 fee. Appointments requested outside business hours carry a $10 fee. Guests and children who are not receiving a service are not allowed because space is limited. Clients should avoid retinoids, exfoliating acids, tanning and heavy sun exposure for at least 48 hours before waxing or facial appointments, and avoid pools, saunas, intense workouts and exfoliation for 24 to 48 hours afterward. Hours are Tuesday through Thursday from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Friday from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM; the studio is closed Sunday and Monday.
