All Clear Electrology

All Clear Electrology is located in a suite on SW Holly Lane in Wilsonville and focuses entirely on permanent hair removal by electrolysis. Its service area reaches well beyond Wilsonville, with clients coming from Lake Oswego, West Linn, Tualatin, Tigard, Woodburn, Portland, Salem, Oregon City, Canby, Aurora, Sherwood and Newberg.

The practice offers three electrolysis methods: galvanic, which uses a direct current to act in the follicle; thermolysis, which uses high-frequency current to heat and destroy the hair root; and blend, which delivers both currents through the same probe. The electrologist chooses the method for each client. Treatment can be used on nearly any area, including the hairline, eyebrows, face, neck, chest, back, arms, legs and bikini line, and is offered to women, men and transgender clients.

Treatment of hair along the lash line, in the nasal passages and within the ear canal is carried out only with a physician supervising. Moles can be treated when a physician has given written permission.

Each session uses disposable probes, and the practice follows the guidelines of the Oregon State Health Licensing Agency along with current sterilization procedures. Aftercare is kept minimal. Some clients notice a short healing period with temporary redness, swelling or small pinpoint scabs.

Electrolysis was first developed for hair removal by the ophthalmologist Dr. Charles Michel, who published his first paper on the method in 1875. The business says its electrolysis costs less than other permanent hair removal methods.
