The academy describes itself as a progressive school that teaches cutting-edge makeup artistry, and its stated mission is individualized education that helps students build their own makeup business.

The flagship Makeup Artistry course is a 40-hour intensive aimed at training freelance artists. Other courses cover makeup fundamentals, makeup creativity, perfecting eyes, cut crease eye makeup, lash and brow extensions, microblading, and bridal makeup. Classes are kept small, and the academy provides ongoing support after a course ends. To enroll, students complete an online form, receive an invoice linking to a payment page, choose a payment option and submit a deposit. The AMA team then contacts the student within 24 hours of the payment and form being processed.

Personal makeup classes can be taken one-on-one, with a friend, or in a group, at the studio or at a location the client chooses, including mobile classes. Day to Night is a two-hour class for all levels costing $250, covering day looks, turning a day look into an evening one, color and texture, and applying false lashes; it can be taught one-on-one or in a group of up to six. Teen Beauty is a two-hour class for all levels costing $175, covering color mixing and blending, self-expression looks, and color correction and concealer for problematic skin. It is limited to two participants. Students must be 15 or older with parental consent, and anyone under 15 needs a parent or guardian present. Larger groups and specialized rates are available by contacting the studio.

AMA offers bridal services, including a bridal makeup trial, bridal makeup at the salon or on location, and bridal hair and makeup packages for the bride, groom-to-be and bridal party. Each bride receives a complimentary Bridal Concierge to plan needs and assemble a service package. A 50% deposit is required to hold a wedding date and is non-refundable, with the full balance due one week before the wedding. Only a limited number of parties are accommodated during bridal season, so early booking is recommended. Mobile services carry an additional charge for the service and travel, and the travel fee is $50 one way within 30 miles of the Haverhill studio. The studio is open Monday through Sunday, 9 am to 9 pm.
