Alicia's Curls

Alicia's Curls is run by owner Alicia Torrens, a Certified Curly Hair Specialist. The business is also listed as Brandon Hairstyling on its website. The studio works with wavy, curly, and kinky or coily hair, and its signature technique is dry cutting, done curl by curl.

New clients book Curl Rejuvenation, a first visit that combines a dry cut, detox cleansing, deep conditioning and styling. Returning clients who last came in within the past six months can book the returning client services instead. Extra length, density or detangling adds a fee of $30 to $50.

Booking requires a non-refundable $50 deposit, and a confirmation email with appointment instructions follows. Clients are asked to wash and detangle their hair, ideally the day before, and to skip oily products, perfume, hoop earrings and black tops. Children under 12 cannot come along to appointments, for safety and insurance reasons. Missed appointments without advance notice are charged the full service price. Cash, Venmo, Zelle, PayPal and Apple Cash are accepted.
