ALCHEMY WAX STUDIO

The studio sits inside a salon suite off Egypt Road, about 10 minutes from the King of Prussia mall and downtown Phoenixville, and a few minutes from the 422 exit. Parking is free in a large lot, so clients should allow a few extra minutes to find a space. The studio is at Suite 7A, behind the spa area door.

Bookings are made through the studio's online booking platform. Service and appointment questions are handled by text, while event, donation and collaboration inquiries go through the contact form. Additional guests and children are not permitted in the studio, and a waiting area is set up just outside the studio door.

The studio says it wants clients to feel comfortable, respected, informed and cared for. Each service begins with an explanation of the steps and the reasons behind them, and aftercare guidance is offered so clients can keep their results between appointments.

Body waxing covers the whole body and mainly uses hard wax, with arms, legs and backs done in a mix of hard and soft wax. Brazilian waxing is a specialty, and clients need about a quarter inch of growth, usually two to three weeks, with no trimming beforehand. Eyebrow tinting uses a hybrid brow stain that lasts one to three weeks and suits clients who want a darker brow or have sparse brow hairs.

The studio sells a line of professional aftercare products aimed at reducing ingrown hairs, hyperpigmentation and rough texture between waxes. It states that all product used is hypoallergenic and suitable for every area of the body.

Hygiene and client comfort come first: touch points are sanitized after each client, sticks are used only once, and gloves are worn for every service.
