Alchemy Salon Studios

Alchemy Salon Studios is a locally owned, women-operated business in Omaha. Co-founder Carissa Matthes works from one of the studios, alongside independent professionals who rent space there. According to the salon, it houses several of the city's leading independent hair, beauty and wellness practitioners.

The building works as a leasing model rather than a single salon. To move in, a professional fills out an application, pays a security deposit, chooses a studio and then moves in. Studio tours can be requested through the website contact form or by Instagram direct message.

There are 24 studios in total: 20 single studios, 12 with windows and 8 interior, plus 4 double studios, all with windows. Single studios range from 120 to 228 square feet. Interior studios start at $310 per week, window studios start at $350 per week, and double studios range from $640 to $660 per week.

Shared amenities include elevator access, a second-floor balcony and lounge with panoramic views, complimentary wifi and all utilities, 24/7 access through a secured entrance, and ample parking. Each studio has American-made styling chairs and shampoo shuttles, and the building has stand-behind shampoo units, a separate laundry room and temperature-controlled zones. Shared spaces play ambient music through a sound system. The building sits about five minutes from Village Pointe shopping mall and across from a HyVee grocery store.

The building supplies the studio, utilities and shared facilities so that independent professionals can run their own business from a dedicated space.
