About

The spa began serving Frederick nearly 20 years ago with laser hair removal and says it brought that treatment to the area in 2003. It is independently owned and run by women. Its services are grouped into Laser Hair Removal, Injectables, Skin Rejuvenation, Face Sculpting, Wellness Services and Additional Services, and it describes itself as Frederick's go-to source for aesthetics, health and wellness.

Visits begin with a consultation, which is free and can be done in person or virtually. The consultation covers medical history, goals and a skin evaluation, and treatments are only given by registered nurses and nurse practitioners. The team is led by nurse practitioners, and the business says registered nurses perform every treatment. Clients are asked to arrive with a clean face for skin treatments, and staff will wash it on arrival if needed. Anesthetics are available to keep patients comfortable. Appointments are generally booked about a week ahead, with occasional last-minute openings. Laser hair removal is sold in packages of six sessions and uses two lasers at three wavelengths. Follow-up sessions are spaced about every 4 weeks for the face, 4 to 6 weeks for the mid-body and 6 to 8 weeks for the legs. There is no downtime, though some redness or mild irritation may last a few hours to a few days. Lifetime touch-ups are included for a nominal fee, and pre- and post-care instructions are provided. A consultation is required first. The business states its laser equipment is FDA-approved for permanent hair reduction, which it defines as an 80% reduction of hair, and that permanent removal is not possible. The injectables group covers Botox, Dysport and dermal fillers, with an optional PRP add-on for fillers. Botox and Dysport require a consultation first and results typically take 7 to 10 days to fully show, lasting about 3 to 4 months. Dermal filler results typically last 6 to 9 months, and some patients keep them up to two years. Face sculpting includes EmFace, a non-surgical treatment using electrical stimulation and radio frequency energy with no needles, injections or downtime, usually about 20 minutes per session over 4 to 6 sessions. The business says it was one of the first to offer EmFace in Maryland. Wellness services include sexual health treatments, IV therapy and bio-identical hormone therapy, and vein therapy is listed under additional services. Aesthetic treatments are elective and not covered by insurance. The spa also offers help preparing for weddings and other big events, and sells medical-grade skincare that can be chosen through an online skincare quiz followed by a visit with an aesthetician. Payment plans are available through Cherry, with 0% APR options subject to eligibility and no hard credit checks.

Each treatment plan is built after a consultation that reviews medical history, goals and skin condition, so the recommended services are tailored to the person.
