Akaish Styles

Akaish Styles is a braiding salon in Fort Lauderdale. The salon describes its braiding as a luxury experience in a modern, relaxing space. Founder Esther leads the braiding, and hair is included in the braiding appointment.

The braid menu covers boho braids, knotless braids and faux locs, which are grouped with other protective styles. Sew-in installs and takedowns are offered as a separate service, and a Wash and Treatment service uses restorative treatments meant to repair, strengthen and nourish hair.

Booking works on a deposit. A $30 non-refundable deposit is required for every style and is applied to the total, which is paid in cash or by Zelle at the appointment. Deposits cannot be transferred. Sunday appointments carry an additional $100 non-refundable VIP fee.

Clients are asked to arrive with hair clean, fully blown out, dry and free of product. Style selections are final once booked, and improper preparation can lead to a cancellation. Arriving 15 minutes late brings a $10 late fee, and appointments more than 15 minutes late are canceled with the deposit forfeited. Rescheduling needs at least 48 hours' notice or the deposit is lost. A no-show forfeits the deposit, and rebooking afterward requires 50% payment up front. Service concerns must be raised within 24 hours of the appointment, and all services are final with no refunds. Clients must come alone.
