Tooth gems are one of the studio's specialties. Each gem is a real crystal or opal set onto real enamel with professional dental adhesive and cured in place. The gems are semi-permanent, can last one to five years, and can only be removed by a dentist. Clients must be 18 or older and sign a consent form at the appointment, and a mask is always worn during the service. A date night booking, about an hour long, includes matching gems for the client and their partner or partners, at $50 per person for one gem each or $100 per person for two. Parties of up to three can book it online; larger groups contact the studio through its website.
Permanent jewelry is welded on and not meant to be taken off, so no clasps are used. Chains are made in .925 sterling silver or 14k gold filled and can be fitted to wrists, hands, ankles, waists or necks. The studio offers a range of chains, non-hanging connectors and charms, and it says the jewelry is guaranteed not to tarnish or discolor. Private permanent jewelry parties include a booth where guests choose charms and build stacked sets. Pricing is based on the expected number of guests, with a minimum of eight, and special order chains, connectors and charms can be arranged for parties on request. Every party includes one free bracelet for the host.
Visits take place in a private room with dimmable lights and adjustable music, and a TV is available for shows or movies during appointments. Light refreshments and snacks are offered free of charge during gel manicures. Sensory-friendly, silent appointments are also available. Clients are asked to book at least 12 hours ahead and to pay a deposit to confirm. Gel X sets with extra length need booking one week in advance. Free parking is available at the time of service. The salon is up a flight of stairs, which may be hard for clients with mobility limitations. The studio describes itself as a safe space for all clients, including LGBTQ+ and polyamorous clients, and it encourages clients to book under the name they prefer. Gift cards can be bought and their balances checked on the website.
Tools are either fully disinfected or thrown away, and a sealed sterile packet is opened in front of each client at every appointment. Tooth gem appointments use sterile, single-use applicators and lip retractors.
