The practice was founded by Valerie Erdman, a physician who spent more than a decade as a hospitalist after training at LECOM and completing a residency at the Cleveland Clinic. Her career later moved into geriatrics and then into aesthetics, and the practice grew from that work. The practice says it builds each plan on a physician's clinical judgment rather than a standard menu of treatments, which it contrasts with the menu-style offerings it says most area med spas provide.

A visit starts with an Alma IQ scan, a non-contact imaging session of about five minutes that measures pigmentation, redness, texture, pores, sun damage, and wrinkles and fine lines. The report is reviewed with the client before any treatment is discussed, and a physician-approved written plan follows, with a timeline and the cost of each step. Scan pricing is discussed at consultation and may be billed separately from treatment.

The practice does not sell packages, memberships or prepaid bundles, and there is nothing to renew and no minimum number of visits. Sessions are booked individually, and financing is available through Cherry for qualifying patients. Injectable initial and follow-up appointments are listed at no charge on the booking site, and gift cards are available for products and services. Patients can text the physician directly after appointments at the number they booked through.
