Every visit starts with a complimentary consultation, which can be booked by phone or email. Physicians and staff listen to a client's concerns, answer questions and explain the options, then put together a treatment plan around the client's needs, lifestyle and budget. Clients are not pushed to book at that visit.

Injectable treatments are performed by the practice's nurses and physicians, and injectors use blunt tip cannulas, which the practice says allow work in areas such as under the eyes, under the brows and the superficial temples. Nurses perform all IPL treatments and laser hair removal, with Dr. Lafkas available for consultation as needed. The practice states it uses the most advanced laser, ultrasound and pulsed light systems available.

Several treatments are best understood as a series. Laser hair removal is usually planned as three sessions spaced four to twelve weeks apart, with three to six treatments typical and six to ten suggested for darker skin. IPL is often a course of two to four sessions for a more even skin appearance. Vivace results appear over three to six months, and the practice suggests maintenance treatments every one to two years.

The practice says it is a Top 50 account with Allergan, the maker of Botox, and that it ranks in the national top 50 among more than 20,000 Allergan accounts. According to the practice, its dermal filler team has reached Allergan's highest Level Status, and its nurses rank among the most experienced aesthetic nurses in Southern California. New patients can book by placing a $50 hold on a credit card. Appointments are by booking only: Tuesday through Friday from 10am to 7pm, and Saturday from 10am to 5pm. The office is closed on Sundays. Changes or cancellations need 24 hours' notice. The office does not double book and sets aside a dedicated time for each patient.
