Advanced Medical Laser Center is owned and run locally and operates from a suite on Henderson Road in Columbus, sharing a building with Rivers Way Spa & Salon. The owner, Cindy Joshi, founded both businesses. The center focuses on laser hair removal and uses several laser systems, so the device can be matched to a client's skin tone and hair type.
The space includes a lobby, a waiting lounge, a facial room, a manicure and pedicure room, and a dedicated laser treatment room. The center describes the setting as cozy and calm, aimed at hair removal visits. Clients can book by texting or through the online scheduling link, and the business says it does not use high-pressure sales.
Treatments are sold as packages. Each package includes four laser hair removal sessions and a consultation with a physician for new clients, and clients can buy another package when they need more sessions. Most clients need four to six treatments spaced about four to six weeks apart. Session length depends on the area, from a few minutes for the upper lip to between 60 and 90 minutes for the back. Topical numbing is available on request.
Before a session, clients are asked to avoid tanning and sunburn and to stop bleaching or plucking for a couple of weeks. For the Lightsheer system, the area is shaved beforehand, with no waxing or carbon application, and aloe gel is applied afterward. Results are generally less effective on gray, red, or blonde hair and where there is little contrast between skin and hair color.
Matches the laser system to the client's skin tone and hair color, using several platforms and a melanin reader on one of them to guide the setting.
A cozy, quiet setting built around hair removal visits.
