Adrienne Small is a healthy hair and color specialist who also teaches and runs a nonprofit.

The salon offers blowouts, silk presses, wash-and-go styling, treatments, haircuts and colour. It does not provide relaxer services or hair extensions, and clients must be at least 16 years old.

The Adrienne Small Foundation is a nonprofit that builds programs for teen girls. Its TASF program aims to introduce girls ages 13 to 19 to careers in the beauty industry through immersive experiences, mentorship, hands-on learning and business development. Industry Immersion sessions are hosted at beauty businesses in Memphis, run in morning and afternoon groups limited to 12 girls. TASF states it has offered more than 25 training workshops, rewarded more than 250,000 beauty school scholarships and empowered more than 500 young women. It also offers corporate sponsorship and partnership opportunities, including with beauty schools.

Appointments are limited, so the calendar fills quickly. A waitlist is available for anyone who wants to hear about cancellations. Each month's booking opens on the 15th at 8:30am CST and covers the following month. Buy Now, Pay Later is available in person for bookings from $50 to $4,000, with approval needed before the appointment.
