Founder Aysha Badat-Jackson started the business with the aim of creating a welcoming space where women can gather. Clients book by appointment, and the studio is listed as open Wednesday evenings, Thursday and Friday evenings, and Saturday afternoons and evenings, with Sunday through Tuesday closed.

The work centers on natural henna made from the Lawsonia inermis plant. Each batch is mixed fresh for every appointment and adjusted to the client. Some clients choose jagua, which the business says leaves a darker blue-black stain than henna's reddish-brown. The business says designs can stay vivid for about two weeks with aftercare, and that natural henna shows up on darker skin when cared for properly. It also states plainly that natural henna is never black, and describes black henna containing PPD as unsafe for skin.

Services are grouped into private appointments, boudoir henna, bridal henna and parties and events. Boudoir henna suits photoshoots, a night out, or a private gift for a partner. Bridal henna begins with a one-on-one consultation to talk through the bride's vision, preferred motifs and customization; if the bride books within 24 hours of that consult, the consult fee is applied to her final package. Brides book bridal henna separately from party henna. Party henna is $300 for a two-hour minimum, with additional hours at $100 each. The artist arrives up to 15 minutes before the start to set up, and design size depends on the guest list. Party bookings need a signed service agreement and a retainer to be secured.

Private self-love henna sessions are one-on-one appointments where clients can customize their patterns. The business also offers henna crown sessions for cancer patients, and the proceeds from each session go to a cancer center the person booking chooses. The business says it donates a share of its profits and supports charitable causes.

Policies: an appointment and retainer are required for every service, and the retainer is applied to the balance after the service. Appointments can be canceled or rescheduled up to 24 hours ahead. Arriving more than 15 minutes late is treated as a cancellation, and the full appointment amount is charged to the card on file. Henna services, gift certificates and retail items are not refundable, exchangeable or creditable.
