Adella Hair Studio

Adella Hair Studio is a solo practice in Brooklyn run by its founder, Kerri, a scalp health specialist who also created the Adella Hair product line. Every appointment is one-on-one, and every service starts with the scalp, which the studio treats as the foundation before any styling. The studio says hair strands cannot be repaired once formed, so its care is aimed at the scalp environment the hair grows from.

The signature Adella Reset is a three-hour scalp health service and the required first visit for new clients. It includes a scalp analysis and consultation, a clarifying scalp detox, deep conditioning with steam, scalp massage, and a blowout finished with a silk press or a style, plus personalized guidance on caring for the scalp at home. Returning clients who book a follow-up every six to eight weeks pay a lower rate, and that rate goes back to the new-client price if more than four months pass between visits. A take-home option adds a personalized seven-step product regimen.

Clip-in extension installation is offered, and clients bring their own hair. Extensions can be fitted at a first Reset appointment. Color is limited to semi-permanent shades in black and brown. Braids, wig installs, relaxers and other color services are not offered, and touch-ups are not provided if hair reverts between visits. Only services listed on the booking menu are available.

Booking requires a non-refundable $60 deposit that holds the time and goes toward the total; the balance is paid in cash or by Zelle on the day. Changes need at least 72 hours' notice. Cancellations inside that window carry a $165 fee, and same-day cancellations and no-shows are charged in full. Each deposit covers one reschedule within the month of the appointment. A 10-minute grace period applies, after which a $65 late fee is added, and arriving 20 or more minutes late cancels the visit with a charge for the full service.

Hair should arrive detangled but not washed beforehand, since shampooing is included. A $45 fee applies if hair is not detangled on arrival, and the appointment may be cancelled. Additional guests, including children, are not accommodated, and the youngest client accepted is 11; pricing does not vary by age. Drinks and snacks are available during services. Street parking may be limited, so nearby parking lots are the alternative. A free six-question online scalp assessment gives a personalized result and suggested next steps.

The studio says every service begins with the scalp, and that care should focus on the scalp environment because hair strands cannot be healed. Sessions are one-on-one.
