Chemical peels come in several options: Alpha Peels in 20% or 30% glycolic acid, a salicylic acid Beta Peel, the Jesner Peel and a TCA peel. The salon says peels can reduce fine lines, treat mild scarring and certain acne, and address discoloration and uneven texture. Clients should plan for ten days to two weeks of recovery, avoiding hiking, camping, skiing and prolonged sun exposure, and anyone who has had Botox or fillers such as Juvederm should wait two weeks before microdermabrasion or a peel.

Visible change from microneedling tends to unfold over time, and the salon may recommend a series of sessions.
