Academy of Micropigmentation Hidden Secrets Training Center

The academy was established in Honolulu, Hawaii, in 2007 and now lists two training centers: one in Aiea on Oahu and one in Las Vegas, Nevada, which the site lists under the name Hidden Secrets Training Center. The school also goes by Nouveau Contour Hawaii and NC Academy on its website.

Core training covers brow shaping, eyeliner, lip contouring, and color theory from basic to advanced levels. Students can also take medically graded classes in scalp, breast, scar and skin re-pigmentation, along with para-medical work such as 3D areola and nipple restoration and scar camouflage.

Beyond the core curriculum, the school offers focus classes. These cover color correction and advanced pigment knowledge, removal of unwanted ink through chemical and saline methods, choosing needle configurations, and the legal and marketing side of running a business, which includes a session with a CPA. A one-on-one VIP class lets students bring their own models so an instructor can evaluate their technique. An advanced brow symmetry mapping class focuses on mapping methods and symmetrical brow practice.

Graduates who complete the apprenticeship program move into a hands-on practicum that covers stretching, brow mapping, pigment mixing, needle selection, numbing and aftercare. Apprenticeship is open only to students who have finished all required one-on-one procedures with academy instructors or assigned master technicians, and it requires a score of 85% or higher on the final written exam plus a hands-on practicum. Graduates may be considered for work at the school's professional micropigmentation center.
