Four programs are offered. Cosmetology is 1,600 clock hours and covers cutting, color, balayage, ombre, facials, eyelashes, waxing, microdermabrasion, makeup, manicures, pedicures, salon management and Nevada law. Hair design is 1,000 clock hours and focuses on cutting, coloring, scalp treatments, styling, bleaching, perming, chemical relaxing and up-dos. Esthetics and nail technology are each 600 clock hours. The school uses Milady Standard textbooks as the basis of its learning system and calls itself a Redken school. It states that its cosmetology curriculum goes beyond State Board of Cosmetology requirements.

Clinic services are performed by students under the supervision of instructors the school describes as licensed. The hair design clinic has 72 hair stations and, according to the school, sees more than 1,000 client services a month, while the student clinic overall serves over 1,500 clients a month. The nail bar has 12 patron stations and more than 20 nail services, with spa chairs for pedicure and massage practice. Walk-ins are welcome during service hours, but availability depends on students, and students are not available after 5:00 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Seniors receive 20 percent off on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The school lists handicap accessible restrooms, entrance ramps and parking.

Prospective students tour the campus, which includes an informal interview and an admissions packet. Applicants must be 17, hold a high school diploma or GED and have a Social Security number; a $25 admissions or application packet fee applies to cosmetology and hair design. Hair design requires no prior beauty background. Classes run in morning, afternoon or evening schedules, full time or part time, with start dates throughout the year and new schedules typically each month. Esthetics and nail technology offer part-time and full-time options, including night classes for esthetics.

Listed tuition is $24,000 for cosmetology, $16,000 for hair design, $10,800 for esthetics and $9,600 for nail technology, with total costs of attendance of $26,950, $17,850, $12,550 and $11,200. The school says it cannot guarantee employment but has contacts with local businesses and helps place graduates. It reports 2023 placement rates of 80 percent for cosmetology, 95 percent for hair design, 72 percent for esthetics and 77 percent for nail technology.

Students watch educator demonstrations, then practice each technique themselves until they feel comfortable, working on real clients from the community. The school says it aims to treat each student as an individual and build on their strengths and weaknesses.

The school describes its atmosphere as upbeat, in a space set up to work like a real salon.
