Both campuses run working student salons where students train on real clients. Services are performed by students, and a licensed instructor supervises each one from start to finish and checks the work before the client leaves. Each visit begins with a consultation with a student in the relevant department. Because students are still learning, appointments take longer than they would at a commercial salon, so clients should plan extra time. Hair and barbering services are walk-in during department hours, while esthetics services are by appointment only. Facials, peels and waxing are booked by calling the campus salon. Both salons are open Tuesday through Saturday and closed Sunday and Monday. Prices are set by campus and listed a la carte, and hair prices may rise with porosity, length, density, or when extra product or time is needed. Sales tax is included in esthetics prices and may apply to some other services.

The school offers four training tracks with different lengths. Cosmetology is 1,500 hours and covers hair, skin, and nail work plus the side of running a salon; students can attend full-time during the day or part-time in the evening at either campus. Barbering is 1,000 hours and teaches precision haircutting, fades, shape-ups, and close shaves with a straight razor and hot towels, along with how to run a barbering business. East Hartford runs it full-time by day and part-time in the evening, while Wallingford offers only the part-time evening schedule. Esthetics is 600 hours and can be finished in about six months full-time or about nine months part-time in the evening; tuition includes two full-size professional student kits. Makeup Artistry is an eight-week course that uses MAC Cosmetics and is held only at Wallingford on Wednesday evenings.

The school is accredited by NACCAS and holds Connecticut Higher Education authorization. It is Title IV eligible and a Goldwell Certified school. According to its 2026 Annual Report to NACCAS, the school reports an 83% completion rate, an 82% job placement rate and a 74% licensure rate, which it states exceed NACCAS minimums. The school also offers job placement services to graduates and works with salons and other workplaces to shape its training toward entry-level jobs. Financial aid, VA education benefits, an interest-free payment plan and scholarships are available for those who qualify.
