AC Electrolysis

AC Electrolysis focuses on electrolysis, a method of permanent hair removal. The studio works with any hair or skin type, hair or skin color, and any age or gender, and builds each client's treatment around a customizable program.

Each treatment uses a fine, sterile probe placed into the opening of the hair follicle, which sends a small electric current to destroy the cells that grow the hair. The studio combines shortwave (thermolysis) with blend methods and uses disposable probes. It follows strict sterilization procedures and keeps client information confidential.

Visits are by appointment only, with Monday, Friday, Tuesday and Thursday sessions at set hours and the studio closed Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. A consultation is $30. Sessions are priced by length, from $60 for 15 minutes to $100 for 60 minutes. Clients usually feel a brief heat sensation or pinch, with discomfort described as minimal for most people; sensitivity varies by area of the body. Slight redness or tenderness typically fades within a couple of hours. For 24 hours afterward, clients are advised to avoid heavy sweating, tanning, long sun exposure and makeup. Follow-up visits can take a few minutes, while larger areas may take up to an hour. The business says most clients who follow the recommended plan are completed or nearly completed within 18 months. Payment is by cash or check only.
