Absolute Electrology

Absolute Electrology is based in Florham Park and draws clients from Morris and Essex Counties. The practice sits near several major New Jersey highways, including routes 24, 10, 280, 78 and 80, and offers free parking.

Electrolysis is the practice's core service, a method of permanent hair removal that can be used on most areas of the body except inside the nose and ears. Treatments cover facial hair, underarms, breasts, the abdomen, the bikini line, fingers and toes. For men, the practice also treats the neck, back, outer ears and brow shaping. Post-laser clients and transgender clients are welcome.

Sessions run 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes, at rates of 55, 70, 85 and 100 dollars. Pre-paid packages of 10 sessions carry a 10 percent discount, and a 10-session package of 60-minute sessions costs 900 dollars; balances over 500 dollars can be paid in installments. During treatment the practice uses sterile, disposable probes, many of them insulated for sensitive skin, and works with galvanic, thermolysis and blend currents. Topical anesthetics are available. Clients are asked to stop tweezing, waxing and threading once electrolysis begins. Redness after a session may last from about 20 minutes up to 24 hours, with 20 to 30 minutes being typical.

Appointments are booked by calling or texting 973-769-5577. Clients should give 24 hours notice to cancel, and a missed appointment without notice is charged 35 dollars. Calls are not taken during sessions, but a message can be left. Office hours are Monday and Thursday from 12 to 8 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Late evening and weekend appointments are available on request. Refund requests for unused pre-paid balances carry a 10 percent processing fee. Gift certificates are available.

Electrolysis is offered as a permanent hair removal method, with single-use needles and equipment sterilized in a dry heat sterilizer in line with New Jersey health and safety regulations.
