The color menu runs from toners and glosses using semi- or demipermanent color to highlights and balayage, root touch-ups, bleach and tone work, and all-over single-shade color. Creative and vivid color, including color corrections, is also offered, with those appointments running about five hours. New color clients, and current clients planning a major change, are asked to book a color consultation first. That consultation is free, takes about 20 minutes, and covers goals, budget, timing and the condition of the hair.

Cutting services include bang and neck trims, beard trims, buzz cuts, short cuts above the jawline, long cuts at or below it, and skin fades that take the sides down to the skin. Blowdry and styling can be booked on their own. Treatments include deep conditioning, a K18 add-on, a stand-alone K18 treatment that pairs a detoxifying shampoo, a K18 leave-in and a blowdry, and a 72-hour frizz-fighting treatment that is described as a test of the Amika Pro Smoothing Service.

Extensions are planned at a free 30-minute consultation that covers length, density, color and installation method. A deposit is required to reserve a future extension installation, and that is set at the consultation.

Policies are worth knowing before booking. A 50% charge applies to no-shows, cancellations and reschedules made within 8 hours of the appointment. Arriving ten minutes late may mean the appointment has to be moved.

Color work starts with a consultation for new clients and for anyone making a big change, so the plan suits the hair before any service begins.
